Variations2
The Indiana University Digital Music Library

Variations2 provides online access to selected recordings and scores from the Indiana University Cook Music Library for use by IU Bloomington students, faculty, and staff. The entire collection is accessible from computers in the Music Library. Outside the Music Library, students may access reserve list materials for courses in which they are enrolled.

There are four main ways to use Variations2. For any of these to work, Variations2 must be  installed on the computer you are using.

  1. Course Reserves. Browse the Music Library course reserve lists. Click on links for materials in Variations2.

  2. IUCAT. Search for online recordings or scores using IUCAT, the online catalog of the IU Libraries. For tips on finding Variations2 materials in IUCAT, see our help guide.

  3. Course Web Pages. Browse IU School of Music course web pages. Some of these have links to Variations2 recordings and scores.

  4. Variations2 Experimental Search. Try out the experimental Variations2 search window. This will only search a fraction of the online items, so it does not replace IUCAT.
